Buy Sourdough Bread at KEIT
Food & Drink Experience in Schöneberg, Berlin
About This Experience
Berlin has no shortage of great bakeries, especially when it comes to sourdough—but KEIT is easily one of the best. With a few locations across the city, they focus on naturally fermented bread using organic ingredients. We go to their Schöneberg branch, and it's become our favorite stop for weekend bread. If you're into good sourdough and simple, thoughtful baking, it's definitely worth trying.
Real Bread, No Fuss
KEIT keeps things simple—in the best way. Their sourdough is naturally fermented, made with organic flour, and baked fresh every day. The result is bread that tastes deep, has a great crust, and holds up whether you eat it plain or build your own sandwich at home.
Why We Keep Going
We've tried a lot of sourdough places around Berlin, and KEIT is the one we keep coming back to. The taste, the texture, and even the minimal branding all just work. Their shop in Schöneberg on Goltzstraße is a nice little spot, and going there in the morning has become a bit of a weekend ritual for us.
What to Get
- The classic sourdough loaf – always reliable
- Baguette – great for sandwiches or with hummus as a snack
- Bread chips – sounds small, but they're actually really good
- Different seasonal loaves depending on the week
They don't try to do too much, but what they do, they do really well. Hopefully they keep going like this and we willl be there to pick up our Sunday bread.
Best Time
Weekend mornings for a fresh loaf and quiet streets.
Insider Tip
We usually go to the Schöneberg location. Get there early in the morning if you want the full selection—things like the sourdough and baguette can sell out fast.
